Opis

      • Equal opportunity practices, including non-discrimination and positive action policies, are examined using WERS 98 data to assess their associations with Joint Consultancy Committees dealing with production issues, working practicesand future plans for the workplace. Moreover, the paper examines the impact of ethnicity on employee participation and on the above-mentioned JointConsultancy Committees. By controlling for various factors, I found that non-discrimination policies are associated with Joint Consultancy Committees dealing with production issues and working practices. On the other hand, I found only partial support for the association between non-discrimination policies and Joint Consultancy Committees dealing with future plans and trendsand for the impact of ethnicity on employee participation. No support has been found for the association between ethnicity and Joint Consultancy Committees and between positive action policies and Joint Consultancy Committees.
