Opis
This article discusses the topic of the social history of the Senovo mine from the early 20th century to the present day. In addition to the main theme, the article briefly presents the historical context in which the mine evolved and its role for the development of the place and landscape. Even at the turn of the 20th century, the mine was an important factor in the development of infrastructure that allowed the immigration of the new workforce which took care of the flourishing of life in Senovo. The main theme of the article is both the impact of the mine on life, the situation in which the mining family lived and the impact of this situation on the health of the miners and the remaining members of the family. It also discusses the impact of the mine on the family's daily life and the leisure time and what the mine has done to make life easier for employees during the time of its running and during the process of closing the mine.

- Članek obravnava temo socialne zgodovine rudnika Senovo vse od začetka 20. stoletja do danes. V članku je poleg glavne teme na kratko predstavljen zgodovinski okvir, v katerem se je rudnik razvil, ter njegova vloga pri razvoju kraja in pokrajine. Že na prelomu 20. stoletja je bil rudnik namreč pomemben faktor pri razvoju infrastrukture, ki je omogočala priseljevanje nove delovne sile in je skrbela za razcvet življenja na Senovem. Glavna tema obravnave je tako vpliv rudnika na življenje, razmere, v katerih je živela rudarska družina, ter vpliv teh razmer na zdravje rudarjev in preostalih članov družine. Podan je tudi vpliv rudnika na družinski vsakdanjik in prosti čas družine, in to, kar je rudnik storil, da bi zaposlenim olajšal življenje v času delovanja ter v procesu zapiranja.
