Expulsions of German autochtonous population from central and eastern Europe after the Second World War are an issue of important discussions, which return persistently upon the agenda of all countries involved. In Ihe article an attempt is made to illuminate the issue from a number of points of view. It is certianly necessary to devote attention to the directions by which discourses have been undergoing and to stress the impact they have upon the societies they are carried in. An inspection of individual expulsions and their causes offers significant data and pursues to find similarities and differences amongst them. The events are, namely, close as to location and time, the causes are similar. Many points of contact are to be found as to the fates of the expelled, as well as regard to methods the authorities liad opted for the initiation, the carrying out of emigrations waves and as to the expulsion itself. Though the titic of the articles contains a promise of comparison between individual expulsions, the author overtly doubts as to the value and efficaciousness of such an approach, allowing for generalization and formation of stereotypes.
