Description

The author, on the basis of archival sources and of autopsy, presents the development of Maribor civil construction between 1850 and 1940, when the city evolved successfully in regard to civil construction and infrastructure, but, owing to administrative reasons, a uniform zoning treatment could not be enforced. Among civil constructionists from the time, there were many projeet authors, who contributed to the appearance of the pre-World War II Maribor by their creations. This appearance still remeains as a pleasant recollection of older Maribor inhabitants. At the end of the paper, the author supplments it by a table of preserved buildings from the period, structures from the northern half of the city, as the southern one is not the subject of Ulis reserch.

      • Avtor na osnovi arhivskih virov in avtopsije predstavlja razvoj mariborskega gradbeništva med leti 1850 in 1940, ko se je mesto gradbeno in komunalno uspešno razvijalo, ni pa iz upravnih razlogov moglo uveljavili enotne urbane obravnave. Med stavbeniki iz tega obdobja je bilo tudi več projektantov, ki so s svojimi stvaritvami pripomogli k podobi predvojnega Maribora. Ta ostaja pri njegovih starejših prebivalcih še vedno v prijetnem spominu. Na koncu sestavka avtor dodaja preglednico ohranjenih stavb iz tega obdobja, stavb, ki zasedajo severno polovico mesta, saj južna ni predmet te raziskave.
