The author presents on the basis of archival sources and literature a brief overview of the development of wine growing and wine trade with special reference to the closer Maribor area from the 12th century to the end of the 19th century. The introduction presents a brief general survey of these activities since the first mentions of vineyards on the Slovene territory in the 9th century.

- Avtor je na podlagi arhivalnih virov in literature podal kratek pregled razvoja vinogradništva in vinske trgovine s posebnim ozirom na ožje mariborsko območje od 12. stoletju do konca prejšnjega stoletja V uvodu pa je na podlagi ustrezne literature podal bežen pregled teh dejavnosti od najstarejših obdobij do prvih omemb vinogradov pri nas v 9. stoletju.
