The author endeavours, on the basis of official records from the first third of the XVII and the third quarter of the XVIII century, to ascertain the state of art in ecclesiastic facilities in the southern half of the Drava region, which was once administered by pro-parishes with seats in Hoče, Slivnica, Konjice, Šmartno, Stari trg and Pliberk. There were 77 parish churches and 114 other ecclesiastic objects, number of which changed only insignificantly during centuries, in contrast to their artistic content. The latter became endangered particularly by historicist renewals,
as of the middle of the XIX century on.
