The authoress, in her introduction, depicts the conditions in the region of Ptuj prior to World War I, which are consequentially connected with the events of the year of 1918. She follows the activities of the domestic Germans - who considered the Ptuj region as a part ol German Austria — after the formation of the Yugoslav state.
