The first part of the article speaks of the rise of the civic hospital and of its founder on the basic of the archival materials, it gives a short survey of the possessory acquisitions of this establishment and its state of possession in the year 1542, and it speaks of its buildings, administration and life in it up to the 19th century.       • Prvi del članka govori na osnovi arhivskega gradiva o nastanku meščanskega špitala in o njegovem ustanovitelju, podaja kratek pregled posestnih pridobitev te ustanove in njeno posestno stanje v letu 1542 ter govori o njenih poslopjih, upravi in življenju v njej vse do 19. stoletja. V drugem delu pa je govora o stanju meščanskega špltala ob njegovem prevzemu v državno upravo v letu 1731.
