The manorial estate of Podsreda, estendine on both sides of Križanvrh, had its administrative centre at Podsreda. Here on the crossing of the roads towards Pilštajn, Brestanica, Bistrica and once Pišece arose a refuge, a castle, a settlement and a centre of pilgrimage on Stara sveta gora which may be traced back by documents to the 13th century, presumably it reaches at least into the 12th century. Beside average ones this territory has therefore preserved some exceptional cultural monuments: the Romanic castle at Podsreda, the church group on Stara sveta gora and just there a statue of Maria of surpreme duality dating from about the year 1410...
