The authoress deals with national decision of Inhabitants in connection with social-economic situation. She calls our attention to the backwardness of the region of Ptuj, to the power of German capital and to the dependence of Slovene workers to the German employer, to the influence of nazi´s demagogy and to the importance of Slovene societies and institutions at the strengthening of the national conscience.

      • Avtorica obravnava narodnostno opredeljevanje prebivalstva v povezavi z družbenogospodarskimi razmerami. Pri tem opozarja na zaostalost ptujskega območja, na moč nemškega kapitala in odvisnost slovenske delovne sile od nemških delodajalcev, na vpliv nacistične demagogije ter na pomembnost slovenskih društev in ustanov pri krepitvi narodne zavesti.
