Description
The author deals with the problems of the castle Gornji (Upper) Maribor on the basis of historical sources and the started archaeological excavations. From their analysis he states that the castle could not have originated before the beginning of the 12th century when the conditions for the conquest of the northern regions of Slovenske gorice to Radgona and Radenci were created.

- Avtor obravnava problematiko gradu Gornji Maribor na osnovi zgodovinskih virov in začetih arheoloških izkopavanj. Iz njih analize ugotavlja, da grad ni mogel nastati pred začetkom 12. stoletja, ko so bili ustanovljeni pogoji za osvojitev severnih predelov Slovenskih goric do Radgone in Radencev.
