In the introduction the author of the article mentions in short the past of Slovenjegraško and of the place of Slovenj Gradec, and then on the basis of archival sources he treats the past of the civic hospital of Slovenj Gradec from its fundation at the beginning of the 15th century to the middle of the 18th century.
