Description

During the last weeks of the war the Nazi occupier has yet intensified the acts of violence at Maribor, in spite of this the organization of the Liberation Movement spread and strenghtened in March and in April 1945 and this helped to demoralize the enemy completely. There were no direct fights for Maribor. It was liberated on May 9th 1945 In the frame of the concluding operations for the liberation of Slovenia and Yugoslavia.

      • Nacistični okupator je v zadnjih tednih vojne nasilje v Mariboru še stopnjeval. Kljub temu se je organizacija osvobodilnega gibanja v marcu in aprilu 1945 širila in krepila, to je pripomoglo k popolni sovražnikovi demoralizaciji. Neposrednih bojev za Maribor ni bilo. Osvobojen je bil 9. maja 1945 v okviru zaključnih operacij za osvoboditev Slovenije in Jugoslavije.
