In her contribution the author discusses some forms of interaction between the educational work in teaching history and authentic testimonies of the past. Attention is drawn to the wealth of the cultural heritage in Ptuj, in particular its museum collection. Within the framework of museum exhibits and cultural historical monuments in the town the author lists the opportunities for transferring teaching process from the classroom into the museum or homeland walks.
