Description
The building activity on the fortifications of Ptuj, which began in the
year 1527 went to the climax in the time between 1549 and 1559 to become
slower in the time to the end of the century. In the 16th century the Middle-
Ages formications of Ptuj in the fact were altered to a series of Renaisance
buildings. These fortifications were again reconstructed in the years 1664,
1704 and 1759, they stood allmost upright to the 19th century, when the demolition began. The last fortificatiorn was demolished in 1931 close at the
minorite Monastery.

- Gradbena aktivnost v Ptuju, ki se je začela leta 1527 je dosegla višek v letih 1549-1559, nato pa polagoma popuščala vse do konca 16. stoletja. V tem času je Ptuj dejansko zamenjal svojo srednjeveško utrjenost z renesančno, ki je, obnovljena v letih 1664, 1704 in l759, dočakala l. polovico l9. stoletja, ko se je začelo njeno rušenje, ki se je dejansko končalo leta 1931 z odstranitvijo minoritske bastije.
