Description
In this article, Georges Duby's contribution to the knowledge of the medieval French nobility has been evaluated. A special interest has been attached to his methodological approach to the research of noble family and marriage structures. Furthermore, the impact of his methods of research on the scholarship has been emphasised.

- Članek obravnava prispevek pokojnega francoskega zgodovinarja Georgesa Dubyja k poznavanju visoko srednjeveškega plemstva. Posebno pozornost si zasluži zlasti njegov metodološki pristop k raziskovanju plemiške družine in ženitvenih strategij posameznih družin, ki je vplival na kasnejše rodove raziskovalcev.
