Description
Based on published sources the author writes about the role of Slovene political refugees in the Trieste region after World War II, gives a brief survey of literature on this subject, and outlines several ideas concerning primary sources. Predominantly Catholics, these refugees played a significant role as organisers of cultural events in the life of the Slovene Catholic political party in the neighbouring countries and as educators of autochthonous Catholic intellectuals. In the second part of his paper the author analyses the viewpoints of prominent Slovene Catholic newspapers in the neighbouring countries, namely Slovenski Primorec and Katoliški glas, toward the refugee problem. A review of Catholic newspapers confirms the role and significance political refugees had on the Catholic party in the neighbouring countries, illustrating the development of the attitude of Catholic publications in these countries toward the Slovene political emigration.

V drugem delu avtor analizira opredeljevanje najpomembnejših glasil zamejskih katolikov, Slovenskega Primorca in Katoliškega glasu, do begunske problematike. Pregled katoliških glasil potrjuje vlogo in pomen političnih beguncev za katoliški tabor v zamejstvu in prikazuje razvoj odnosa zamejskega katoliškega tiska do vprašanja slovenske politične emigracije.
