The article presents an in-depth situation in the Kranj District at the height of the Information Bureau dispute between 1948 and 1953. The conflict between the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia caused turmoil on the world political map. The consequences of the conflict were not only global but also hit organizations at the very bottom of the party hierarchy. The party organizations in the Kranj District were determined to search for possible “undesirable elements” more carefully. However, at the same time, at least at the beginning, they did not want to turn too sharply against the Soviet Union.
