The article presents forced mobilisation into the Wehrmacht between 1943 and 1945 in the wartime Municipali­ty of Tržič. At least 174 inhabitants of Tržič were forcibly mobilised into the regular German Armed Forces during the Second World War, including younger men who had also served in the Reich Labour Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst) before that. Enlistments began in January 1943. Most mobilised men born between 1916 and 1926 were sent to the Eastern Front. At least thirty-two men from Tržič lost their lives during the war and at least one died in a prisoner-of-war camp. They kept on returning home through various repatriation bases all until the mid-1947.
