Description
From seven towns only three (Brežice, Maribor, Ptuj) reached such an importance and the benefit of the Land’s funds for the setting right of their fortifications. This work was done by Italian builders; by them were especially in the second half of the 10th century all three towns performed in strong fortifications, which were able to resist the turkish power. These builders brought to our country Renaissance style conception and between the years 1550 and 1620 they were the masters of the complete building activity
