Description
In the past children from lower social classes were in a lot of ways treated like working animals and they were exploited from the very early youth. A general perception of children “usefulness” and legal violence of parents against children, guardians against their wards, of one spouse against another, of educators and teachers against their inmates and pupils, and in the end of masters against their servants contributed a lot to this attitude. Paper presents three exmples of child abuse and the inefficency of legal justice in protecting of their rights because of the limitations of positive legislation of that period and a general state of mind about the role of children in the society.

      • Na otroke iz nižjih socialnih slojev včasih niso gledali dosti drugače kot na delovno živino in so jih začeli izkoriščati že v najranejši mladosti. K temu je pripomoglo splošno naziranje o »koristnosti« otrok in pa tudi uzakonjeno nasilje staršev nad njihovimi otroki, skrbnikov nad varovanci, enega zakonca nad drugim, vzgojiteljev in učiteljev nad njihovimi gojenci in učenci ter gospodarjev nad služinčadjo. V prispevku so predstavljeni trije primeri zlorabe otrok in neučinkovitost pravosodja pri zaščiti njihovih pravic zaradi omejenosti s pozitivno zakonodajo dobe in splošnega stanja duha glede vloge otrok v družbi.
