ln the article, the author deals with the significance of the Art school, which the Slovenska kulturna akcija (SKA), the central cultural institution of Slovene emigrants in Buenos Aires, founded in 1955. The outlines of the activity of the school are given on the basis of publications in the SKA newsletters, the Glas Slovenske kulturne akcije, individual narrations of the students, and notes by Marijan Marolt.
