Description
The author discusses the question of careerism and taking care (of oneself by oneself) among the nobility in the Slovene ethnic area in the 13th and 14th century. In the first part he deals with careerism in secular posts (defined for men) (importance of the social status and function reputation, ability of nobility to become members of secular clergy, relationship between secular and clerical functions within families etc). In the second part the author analyses the supply function (mostly for women) in the light of entering a monastery (reasons, mutual relations among the relatives when choosing a monastery, economic moments, legal regulation of supply donations and their amount, importance of the social status of a noblewoman and her family when choosing a monastery).

      • Razprava zadeva vprašanje karierizma in preskrbe med plemstvom na Slovenskem v 13. in 14. stoletju. V prvem delu je prikazan karierizem v posvetnih (moških) službah (odvisnost socialnega položaja in ugleda funkcije, sposobnost plemiškega vstopanja med posvetni kler, razmerje med posvetnimi in kleriškimi funkcijami znotraj družin itd.). V drugem deluje analizirana preskrbovalna funkcija (predvsem ženske) v luči vstopa v samostan (razlogi, medsebojni sorodniški odnosi ob izbiranju samostana, gospodarski momenti, pravna regulativa preskrbovalnih darov in njihova višina, odvisnost socialnega statusa plemkinje in njene družine pri izbiri samostana).
